This self≠directed campaign was developed as an appreciation and acknowledgment to Endometriosis Awareness Month. The goal of this campaign was to be able to discuss womens issues in an honest way while still remaining visually appealing and social media appropriate. I chose to achieve this with a poster, digital brochure, and 2 instagram posts.
I wanted to create an open dialogue by giving the facts and encouraging women to be open about their Endometriosis diagnosis without fear of judgement as more issues affecting women have been brought to the forefront of social awareness in recent years. I made the choice to work with Sandro Botticelli's “The Birth of Venus” as Plato stated that the emergence of Venus brought upon the contemplation of physical beauty, allowing the viewers mind to better understand intellectual love. This interpretation fit with the theme of acceptance within the female body, and encourages women to see the beauty behind the diagnosis.
